Remap - Technical equipment for disabled people

Remap is a national registered charity which has for 40 years provided one-off technical devices which help disabled people of all ages to enjoy a better lifestyle. Every piece of equipment is given free of charge to the user.

Remap operates through a network of 1,500 volunteers. The professional engineers, technicians, and craftspeople - along with health professionals from community services and hospitals - all belong to 100 Panels (groups) across the UK.

Remap engineers think 'green' when it comes to choosing materials for the job. A lawn mower, defunct dishwasher or even car parts will, in skilled hands, often become a component of a piece of equipment.

Each year Remap helps 3500 people and from a budget of £200,000 produces equipment worth £3,000,000.
